چکیده

Orbital motion in triaxial nuclei with central point masses, representing supermassive black holes, is investigated. The stellar density is assumed to follow a power law, ρ ∝ r −γ , with γ = 1 or γ = 2. At low energies the motion is essentially regular; the major families of orbits are the tubes and the pyramids. Pyramid orbits are similar to box orbits but have their major elongation parallel to the short axis of the figure. A number of regular orbit families associated with resonances also exist, most prominently the banana orbits, which are also elongated parallel to the short axis. At a radius where the enclosed stellar mass is a few times the black hole mass, the pyramid orbits become stochastic. The energy of transition to this " zone of chaos " is computed as a function of γ and of the shape of the stellar figure; it occurs at lower energies in more elongated potentials. Our results suggest that supermassive black holes may place tight constraints on departures from axisymmetry in galactic nuclei, both by limiting the allowed shapes of regular orbits and by inducing chaos. – 2 –

We derive and solve the black hole attractor conditions of N = 8 supergravity by finding the critical points of the corresponding black hole potential. This is achieved by a simple generalization of the symplectic structure of the special geometry to all extended supergravities with N > 2. There are two classes of solutions for regular black holes, one for 1/8 BPS ones and one for the non-BPS. ...

In classical loss cone theory, stars are supplied to a central black hole via gravitational scattering onto low angular momentum orbits. Higher feeding rates are possible if the gravitational potential near the black hole is non-axisymmetric and the orbits are chaotic. Motivated by recently published, self-consistent models, we evaluate rates of stellar capture and disruption in triaxial nuclei...

The consequences of nuclear black holes for the structure and dynamics of stellar spheroids are reviewed. Slow growth of a black hole in a pre-existing core produces a power-law cusp, ρ ∼ r −γ , with γ ≈ 2, similar to the steep cusps seen in faint elliptical galaxies. The weaker cusps in bright ellipticals, γ ∼ < 1, may result from ejection of stars by a coalescing black-hole binary; there is m...

BTZ black hole is interpreted as exact solution of 3d higher spin gauge theory. Solutions for free massless fields in BTZ black hole background are constructed with the help of the star-product algebra formalism underlying the formulation of 3d higher spin theory. It is shown that a part of higher spin symmetries remains unbroken for special values of the BTZ parameters.

We find multiple relations between extremal black holes in string theory and 2-and 3-qubit systems in quantum information theory. We show that the entropy of the axion-dilaton extremal black hole is related to the concurrence of a 2-qubit state, whereas the entropy of the STU black holes, BPS as well as non-BPS, is related to the 3-tangle of a 3-qubit state. We relate the 3-qubit states with th...
